Does anyone know anything about a Farrow Watson and possible union with Gertrude Watson in Sunderland about 1916?

They had twins, Robert and Henry in 1918

They might have worked in a flour mill.

Thanks

Nigel

Thanks everyone for your help,

The difficulty is as follows

The older Farrow Watson appears to be the father of the younger Joseph Farrow Watson

The older dies in 1916 and the younger dies in the war on 4 Aug 1917.

The two sons are born Sept 1918, too late for them to be the sons of either the older or younger Farrows!!

Also intriguing is the fact that Gertrude and Farrow have the same surname.

Thanks anyway!!

Perhaps you should buy one of the infants birth certs?

Alot of Watson married Watson
more common the surname like Smith married to Smith!! it's a nightmare looking up births.

If Gertrude married and became a Watson and she then went on to have children, they would be born under the name she was currently known by, IE Watson.... irrespective of the fact it is her previous married name!

Unless she married again, she would be treated in the even of a birth as if her dead husband were there!!

So if hubby dies and Mr Smith gets her pregnant is quite plausible the children would be registered as Watson mmn (whatever) making it look like the children could be her husbands...

I hope that kinda makes sense!
