Hi Am trying to find information on Watson families, originally from England. My grt grandfather James Watson b26 Jan 1844 in Hatfield - father was Thomas Watson and mother was Mary ....... James came to Australia, landing in Sydney 1864, went to the Shoalhaven area to join his brother John Watson. He was farm overseer at Maharatta, near Bombala for many years. Married Eliza Colyer from Shoalhaven in 1872. He died c1941 and was buried at Wyndham, NSW. He spoke of seeing a large fire in London as a young boy. Berice |
