I would like to know if anybody has any information on robert williams born 1838?? working as a shop assisstant for a mr clayton in thelnathem. He may have had a son with martha footer. The son was named robert but did not take hs surname. Trying to find out if robert was his son or not.

This is probably the son born in 1851. Thelnetham falls within the Thetford Reg. district. so 1838 is probably a little early for his father to be born. 1827 for Robert and 30 for Martha seems more likely.

sorry- spelling not too good!!
I know that martha left her first son john with her mum to go and work with mr clayton where she met robert williams and fell pregnant with robert. Then went back home and met and married cook, but he was niether of thems dad and they both had different fathers. Just wondering if she named her son robert after robert williams? other than that i have no other information.
