I have on my tree Sarah Williams baptised 1813 Madeley shropshire - parents Watkin Williams and Jane.
However the only marriage I can find between Watkin Williams is with Jane Green in 1814 Worfield, shropshire.
This seems unlikely as they married a year after their daughters birth - does anyone think this could happen or was having children outside wedlock a definate NO NO???!!!

Having children 'outside of wedlock' is something which has gone on since the year dot !!
SO - the marriage you have found is very possible!

well.........having looked on the 1841 census when sarah Williams is now married to Thomas Turner (they married 1834).............staying with them is Sarah Turner (thomass mother) and also an ANN WILLIAMS age 52 who is old enough to be Sarah Williams mother........................so Can anyone find an Sarah Williams baptised c1813 in the Madeley area of Shropshire with a mother ANN????
She is on the next page of the census but immediately after Thomas and Sarah Turner + family.....so this seems highly possible!!
So maybe I have got it wrong and her mother was Ann
