Hi Iknow this is a long shot but I have just been told that the person who I thought was my father isnot.. the person-he is or was a james/jimmy williams born in the 1920s shrewsbury shropshire was living in westbury wiltshire in the late 1940s might of been in the army moved back to shrewsbury late 1948 with my mother she moved back to westbury 1949 regards eddie

the info came from 2 of my auntys it all started with a wedding photo my dad was in photo but not my mum on asking a aunty to tell me who was in photo she pointed to this man jimmy williams hes your father ,hes probally dead by know regards eddie

My first inclination would be to question what this person is saying and why - whatever were they trying to acheive? Without good evidence personally I would question the truth of it. Maybe other members can offer advice.
