Trying to find relations of William Wilson who was married to Elizabeth, came over from Ireland in the 1850s and are registered in the 1861 census as living with four of their sons, Henry, Robert, James and John (I think these two may have been twins). John was my gt.gt. grandfather, married Ann Sharples (of Mayo, Ireland?). They had several children. I have details of Charles (possibly Thomas), then a gap of several years, then Arthur, Elizabeth, Sarah and Margaret. They were publicans at 127 Broadstone Road, Reddish.Arthur was my gt.grandad, married Alice Orme 1900. They had George, Arthur (my grandad), Herbert, Harold, Alice, Doris and Stanley. Arthur married my gran Edith Ashton and they had one son, my dad Bryan Arthur Wilson. Any information would be gratefully received. |
