Find Ancestors

Hi, can anyone find my gggran in 1851. She married my ggranfather in 1859 and her name changes to Forster. On her marriage cert she stated she was a widow and her former name was Wilson. So what I am looking for is a Sarah Wilson in 1851, I don’t know the name of her husband. I have her in 1841 living with her parents in Gateshead Durham.

They may be living in either Newcastle Northumberland or Gateshead Durham

Hi julie
I have got both of them in 1861 on different census households. What I realy want is to find either of them in 1851. Sarah Topham married ? wilson, she was widowed and remarried Robert (also a widower) in 1859. I cant find either of them with their first wives in 1851. I believe they would have been in the Newcastle ot gateshead area as all other info I have for them is in this area.

Well theres lots of Sarah Wilsons so thats a bit of a prob. However, she doesnt seem to have taken any kids along with her to the second marriage does she? So I guess the marriage must have been a very short one or any kids are elsewhere.?

Hi Heather I have a record of Thomas Forster being born to Fobert and Sarah Forster in 1854. Sarah died in 1855. I dont know what happend to Thomas I am busy looking for a death for him now.

just found 3, 1854/59/60. But BMD does not give the age of the person. so I cant say if any of them are for him or not.

But no Wilson kids And we dont know where Sarah was born. Have you found any of her siblings in the 1851?

Are you saying Robert was married to a Sarah previously?

Sorry Heather got mixed up with other line running, Robert and his first wife also a Sarah, had I think one son, which is the one i found, Thomas Forster born 1854.

Getting myself confused with 2 line going alongside each other although they are both to the same father.

Could you give us the details you have on Robert Forster please.

Hi, Sarah was born in Clacton Bosel in yorkshire. Although she does not always say in the census she had recorded her birthplace as Gateshead, but it was Yorkshire.

1861 Here he is living with brothers, one of which is down as an imbocile, so maybe looking after him. I have his wife on diff census.

Hi, I have just recieved a great bit of info from Vera, she has found the 1891 census with Sarah Forster on it along with her son THOMAS WILSON and his family. Well what a turnup. He gives his age as 36, which means he must have been born about 1854. I have never found him on any census within the direct family. So I dont know where he has been for the last 36 years, she may have had other children, who will I ever find out?

Any ideas on this one more than welcome
