I have been trying to find a birth for a lady called Mary Alice Wilson (about 1879/1880, she was born in Northumberland, Blyth - 1901 Census) On her wedding cert it said her father was Jack Wilson (deceased) sailor. I thought I had found the birth on the index (1880, 10b 251) but when I sent off for it, I found I was wrong. I have looked again but I'm no further forward. Could any one help please?
