Leonora Carpenter Wilson brn 1866 married Walter Heron in OZ abt 1890. her father was Joseph Wilson from Greenock SCT and Penicuik brn abt 1820 in Angola Africa. Her mother Jeannie MacMillan brn Blantyre Lanark Scotland abt 1827. Her parents married 1847 at Greenock SCT. Leonora's siblings are, Joseph Wilson brn abt 1850 at Penicuiuk Midlothian Alexander brn abt 1855 at Greenock Agnes 1859 at Greenock William 1861 at Greenock Jeannie 1864 at Greenock This is a mixed race family -- Leonora's father was black, her mother white -- I suspect this situation may have been unusual in Scotland in the mid 1800's in Scotland. Any help locating descendants appreciated. Thanks. Lynn Hamilton [email protected]
