In my family history (the Tyas Family of Skelmanthorpe West Yorkshire) I have sooooo many Wilson's as a first name in my family however no Wilson's with the surname. I had thought it may have been a mothers maiden name OR some identity from Yorkshire in the mid 1800's to 1900 t Hence members of the family gave their son's the name of Wilson. Here are some of my 'Wilsons' In my Tyas family history I have the following members with the christian name as Wilson.... Wilson Haigh (living around 1905) Wilson Jagger (born 1860-1870) Wilson Marsden (living 1891) Wilson Ogden (born 1879) Wilson Peace (born 1876) Wilson Schofield (born 1849) Wilson Senior (born 1874) Wilson Tyas (born 1861) I find it most strange..... and as you can see they are from all sides that the Tyas family intermarried with. Has anyone got any suggestions? Or do you know of a WILSON who married a TYAS I would love to have my puzzle answered! Cheers, JULIE TYAS ps. This has also been added to the General Messages. |
