Trying to find info about my great grandmothers family. George Wilson born 1831 St. Lukes, London married to Rebecca born 1841 Buntingford, Essex children Rebecca Wilson born 1874 Hackney, London George Wilson born 1877 Hoxton, London Alice Wilson born 1879 Hoxton, London Lillian Marion Wilson born 1883 Shoreditch, London married Frank Scillitoe 1907 West Ham, died 30 Nov 1967 Leyton Ernest Wilson born 1887 Balls Pond London. 1881 census has them living at 43 Whiston St, London 1891 census has them living at 123 Englefied Rd, London. Somewhere between 1891 and 1901 dad George died and left Rebecca with Lillian and Ernest who ended up in Barnados. Lillian was saved from being sent to Canada by either sisters Rebecca or Alice and it is believed went into service in Southend, Essex but Ernest was adopted by someone with a connection to the Pears soap family. Does any of this mean anything to anyone? |
