Trying to find Wilson

Margaret Report 13 Dec 2004 15:47

Im trying to trace any relatives of my maternal grandmother who was born Margaret Ann Wilson in Shadforth Village Co Durham in 1880. Her parents were Henry Wilson born in Ballbaley N Ireland in 1846 and Catherine Morrison born in Grey Abbey N Ireland in 1845. I have found them on the 1881 English census but then there is no record of them again!! I think they went back to N Ireland before the 1891 English census and rumour has it that Catherine Wilson was badly burned in a house fire and died. Margaret (known as Maggie) was still a child and was brought up by her Aunt and Uncle. I don't know if it was the Wilson side of the family or the Morrisons. However she left home at 17yrs old and married James Kerr in Newtownards in 1898. They moved to Ayrshire, Scotland.
