CAN ANYONE HELP IM TRYING TO FIND ANY INFO ON MY G-G-G-GRANDPARENTS AND TRYING TO FIND OUT IF MY G-G-G-GRANDAD HAD MARRIED TWICE WHO WERE THIER PARENTS
NAMES WERE
SAMUEL WOOD BORN C 1792 ASHTON LANCASHIRE
HIS WIFE ELLEN UNKNOWN BORN C 1815---1818 BORN IN IRELAND
THEY HAD

WILLIAM 1850
JOSEPH 1853 G-G GRANDFATHER
ELLEN 1858

BUT THATS ALL I CAN FIND I CANT FIND BIRTHS MARRIAGES OR DEATHS FOR ANY OF THEM THE INFO I HAVE IS FROM CENCES RECORDS
PLEASE IF ANYONE CAN HELP THANKS

There are 2 Ellen Wood births for that time in Huddersfield

possible that William died as he isn't on the 61 census with the family and nothing comes up for him. there are a few William Wood deaths between the 51-61 census but unfortunately they don't have age on them to check

Can't find them after 1861 am assuming Samuel is dead by then as he was quite old.

right so ellen could have been in workhouse so mother ellen possibly went back to lancashire after samuel died

only a possible, but if both parents had died she would have probably ended up in the work house. Have you got Jospeh on the 1871 census?

i also found samuel and ellen on 1851 with william and 1861 with joseph and ellen but not william and i diddent think he might have died just away working as he would be over 10yrs and they went out to work young them days

hi just had a look on 1871 and there are only 8 joseph woods born 1853 on it and none of them are him
