Does anyone know anything about my grandfather, Thomas Wood. All I know is that he was born in 1886, I think in Lancashire, his father's name was Charles and he married my grandmother, Maria Henshaw in Wakefield in 1910.
I have found one or two possibilities on the census records but nothing definite. I have no close family left to ask so I would be very grateful if I could get any more info on him. Thank you.

What was his occupation on marriage cert and also his father's?

There is 1 Thomas with a father Charles of right age in 1901 both coal miners

Thanks Christine
This is one of the possibilities I have and it does look the most promising.
I will try and find more details about this family and hopefully I will have the right one.
Thanks again.
