Hi thanks Guys, Elizabeth Tayor Married Charles Wood, looking at he 1841 he's not around and i can find her on the 1861 and 1871 as a widow, so i think that he may died by 1841, in the 1861 census the John and Elizabeth you have found has my Elizabeth's son George living with them as nephew, so i think that John & Elizabeth were in-law's i just cant prove it. I was desperate to find her on the 1851 census but i just cant seem to find her. |

Hi Susan, i thought the same thing, but i am finding it so difficult tracing them, and finding out who John and Charles parents were and what happened to Charles, i only have access to findmypast and it doesnt cover the 1851 census i just needed to eliminate that he wasnt with Elizabeth in the 1851 as i couldnt find a death. I think there is every chance that it just may not have been registered. Charles Wood married Elizabeth Taylor 10/07/1826 in Shareshill she was baptised there in 1804 but can find no baptism for Charles but John has place of Birth as Langdon Staffs, so i am trying there but yet again no luck at putting them together, it has on family search parents of John, John and Ann and Charles in the same parish mother Mary Wood. I thought if i found a death i may find a birth, in the area of Stafford, i think im going to have to cover this one on foot, hubby's going to love me driving the 2-3 hours up to Stafford from S.Wales hahaha |
