Find Ancestors

Hi, I'm trying to find the marriage of George Wood born c1835 in Dorking, Surrey to Eliza (no other details known). They had a child, James, born 1863. I think that George's parents were Henry and Mary if I have the correct babtism record of 21/10/1835. I've reached a dead end and don't know where else to look.

Have you followed him through the census after marriage to see if any of her family are listed with them

I think that this must be the one as they have a child called James who is the right age. Abinger Hammer is the next village to Dorking. Thanks guys, sometimes I think that I can't see for looking!

It is certainly NOT Hitt!!

It begins with an 'S' but could be almost anything - Slite seems possible, having not followed the name from previous census, but also could be Still if the other family members fit!
