Hello, My dad was William George Wood born 1903 Wolverhampton and died 1966.He married my mom Doris in 1954 at St Teresa RC,Rowley Regis.He was a postman.Dad had a brother called Cecil Wood 1910-1992,who married a Irene Roberts..Cecil occ was a proof reader at a newpaper in Wolverhampton.Their perants were William Wood 1874-1945 occ Tailor and later had a sweet shop in Cleveland st, Wolverhampton, and Clara E.Brown 1875-1954. William Wood was born 1874 in Pinfold st,Darlaston.he parants were Edward Wood 1835-1876,occ Roll turner, and Sarah Ann Speed 1839-1882 occ Confectioner.other children Elizabeth 1869, John Stephen 1871 and a possble sister called Mary 1868?. By 1882 both Williams perants are died.Can not find Willam on 1891 census, only brother John S Wood who is found in the workhouse 1891&1901.The girls are married,Elizabeth Wood to Josiah Foster and Mary to George W.Dumbleton.By 1901 William Wood is in Wolverhampton married to Clara and working as a cutter in a Tailors.
