Hello searchers, My grandmother, Army Wood born 1888, was one of 9 children born to James and Martha (nee Marrow) Wood. They were born and lived in Newton/Ashton under Lyne area and became successful butchers, running a number of shops in Gorton and surrounding area, trading under name Wade Wood. Children were split up after mother Martha died young. Ring any bells? Janet |
