WOOD/SUMMERFIELD/GROOM My greatgrandfather was Frederick William Wood. I dont know whom he married. My grandmother was Hilda MayWood [born 1910]married on the 7 june 1932 to Percy William Summerfield born 4 march 1901 in Hammersmith London.Served with the London fire brigade from 1931 untill 1941 when he transfered to Bedfordshire Fire brigade. I know they lived in Pemberton Gardens Islington in 1932 as my mothers birth certificate indicates. They move to Alfred St, Dunstable, Bedfordshire. My mother was Margaret Irene Summerfield[married name Mead] She also had 2 brothers. Some of the family come from Dunstable originaly, i think, and some from Islington. Other family names i know are Charlie Wood, i think he was my grandmothers cousin. He lived in Dunstable.[Garden Road] Also an Ivy Groom whom i called great aunty. She died in about 1970. She lived in Dunstable. I think there are other family members of Groom whom still live in Dunstable. I would like to know more about my family history, i have photos of family members and i dont know who they are. Please contact me if you know anything at all.
