So far we have traced them back to the village of Lydd, County Kent, England where Edward Wood married Elizabeth Maynard. They had 3 children - George baptised Nov 1817, Susannah baptised 1820, and Richard baptised 1821. In 1859 George Wood married Sophia Tanner and they had 1 child - Edward Garrett Wood. Edward Garrett Wood married Annie Maria Taylor in 1882 and they had 8 children - Edward Robert born 1886, Harriet Ann Maria b.1888, Wilfred Kingston b.1892, Sidney Hollis (my grandfather) b.1898, Eveline Alice b.1901, Gladys Annie b. 1904, Hector Lionel b 1906 and Cyril Francis b.1909. It is more the relations of Susannah Wood and Richard Wood that I am looking for as my grandfathers immediate family all immigrated to New Zealand and it is the english relations I am trying to find.
