Hi
I am trying to find aRachael Wright born in Bombay, India 1859. I am trying to find out who her parents are. Not sure where to look. She was married to Francis King who is my Great, Great, Grandfather. We seem to have some Indian blood in our family but we are struggling to find out where it came from.

Hi Kirsty
Francis and Rachel were living in Paradise Place Leiston in 1891, next door to my great grandparents. Rachel's birthplace is given as Poona, East India. They have 3 children- James 3 Ethel E 2 (both born in India) and Alice born in Leiston aged 1 month. Also with them is a stepson, Alfred W Pilditch aged 10 born in Bombay.

Family Search have a submitted recored for a marriage of Rachel Wright to a John Pilditch 6th January 1879 in Bombay.

By 1901 Francis and Rachel have moved up the road to Theberton and are living in Gypsy Cottages. Besides the children born in India there are Annie 4 born Thorndon and Victor aged 1 born at Rendham. There is also a Henry aged 17 born in Middleton who didn't appear in 1891.

I remember visiting my dad's aunt who lived in one of the Gypsy Lodge cottages in the 1950's and my grandmother was born in one of them in 1892. Small world isn't it
