what are you actually looking for? His parents marriage has been posted above if you want to go back any further you will need that cert.

If that is not what you are trying to do....could you please explain.

Hi,

I am actually looking for him if he is still alive as i posted in first post. I was hoping someone would recognise him from their tree and be able to help. He would be around 75 now. Because we didnt know who my dads dad was we have no other information for other relatives other than his parents.

Thanks
Lisa

It is very unlikely anyone will recognise his name have you tried the search trees above?

There are a lot of Leslie Wrights so finding him could be a problem if you do not know where he is now.

If you have his date of birth then if he has died up until 2006 his death could be found

Hi yes i have searched the trees and sent a lot of requests to the owners of them, i am awaiting replies. I had one reply that his mother was possibly related to the famous rothwell brothers of salford but it appears to be a dead end as she married someone of a different name.

I do hope he is still alive though as my dad has never met him.

Thank you for your help.

jax was not by any means suggesting that you post yet another thread on another board, she was letting other members know that thread exists. The result is that people like me will now click on by. Not about to waste time doing things that may already have been done -- that's why the rules say one post per person/family. Also, since no replies can be posted on the living relations board, the rest of us have no idea what information a poster may already have received, so aren't likely to start doing research.

What I did want to point out was this:

http://www.genesreunited.co.uk/boards.page/board/trying_to_find/wright/thread/1263671

You posted this thread, already a duplicate of another, on the Wright "surname board" in the hope that someone related would see it, but you didn't so much as glance down that board list yourself and see that post about the very same person?

I dunno, perhaps you did, and you know the person who posted that search ... too bad for the rest of us then that you just started another thread about that same person, I guess ...
