Has anyone got any information about the following children of JAMES WRIGHT (born Painswick ) and Mary Jane Wright (nee Howell) born in Horsley?:
Rose Elizabeth Wright b 1883 in Horsley
Frederick Wright b 1885 in Almondsbury
William James Wright b 1886 in Chipping Sodbury
Lily May Wright b 1891 in Chipping Sodbury
Daisy Grace Wright b 1893 in Sandhurst, Glos
Ivy Hilda Wright b 1898 in Suckley or Gt Malvern, Worcs
I believe that Rose married Everett Dawes in 1901and I have William's ancestry as he was my gt grandfather. But I have nothing on the others.
James died in 1900, and by 1906 Mary Jane was known as Mary Jane HIGLEY and lived in Nechells (Aston), Birmingham at 27 Thimblemill Lane. The youngest children may well have moved there with her, so their marriages/deaths might have taken place there rather than Worcs.

That 1911 Census shows Cyril Frederick Higley as Mary Jane's stepson
He was in the 1901 Census living with an aunt and uncle, with a sister (?) called Fanny, b. ca 1880
I found Fanny Higley with father James Higley (b.ca 1839, Gloucestershire) and mother Eliza
I found this death of a James Higley
I'm wondering if this was Mary Jane's "husband"? ... haven't found a marriage though!!

WRONG Glitterbaby (lol). I spent ages writing a reply last night and when I went to send it it disappeared! Dohhhhhhhh ... so I thought I would try again tonight.
Anyway I wanted to thank you guys profusely for all your help and research. I was interested in the Nora May Higley (registered as Wright) information - and I'm not surprised that you weren't able to find a marriage for Mary Jane and James Higley (thanks for finding out his first name) as I couldn't find any marriage for her and her first husband James Wright either. I don't think she can have married anyone.
Interesting that according to the 1911 census my grandmother (Edith May Wright) was staying with her aunt and uncle. She had a pretty miserable childhood apparently as her father had died when she was 9 and her mother met someone with the surname Faulkes and she was the worse for drink. I have been told that drink is what killed her, but I haven't yet checked this out.
Thanks also for the info about Daisy's marriage and child - more for me to explore
Daisy's older sister, Rose, had a child but he seems to have died in infancy. I don't know if she had any more children. Have no info about the others - frederick disappeared from the census we wondered if he joined the services. I keep hoping that some of their descendants join this site = there must be someone out there.
