I am looking for connections to DONALD SCOTT WRIGHT son of Harold Scott Wright and Pearl Smith. He was born in WA and his Parents died in WA. Harold(His Father) was in the army and when he returned from duty overseas he was allocated land in Westonia north of Perth. Harold was the brother of Lilian May Wright. The name of the property was either Nalcain or Nancain near a large Gold mine in the Westonia area. Harold and Lilian's Father, James William,(Donald's Grandfather) was born in England and was an Architech/Engineer who studied at Kings College in London and started one of the first Architech businesses in Perth WA. He was the designer of many buildings in Perth and the surrounding country towns. The York Town Hall being one of them. Also buildings in Fremantle. This firm is still operating in St George's Terrace Perth with decendants of the origanal partners still involved in the company. |
