I am trying to find any of my grandfathers family in Athlone, Ireland. He was Francis John Wright, birth year 1900, he came to Coventry (west midlands) England some time before 1925, as he married my grandmother, a Coventry girl, Ethel frances Hewitt, at St Michael's church (now Coventry Cathedral)in january? 1925. They had 6 children (one died Norman) Frank,my father, Ivy,Shiela, Sylvia and Allan the youngest. Francis John Wright's mother, Mary Kelly, came over from Ireland to live with them untill she died. Francis Wright was killed during the Coventry Blitz 1944, when the house got a direct hit. All I do know is that he served in the army during WW1, and my father, frank, adored his father, so, I take from that, that he was a wonderful man. This is all I know of my fathers side of the family, so if there is any one who has these details in their history, please get in touch !
