William 'Bill' Wright. I am searching for information regarding my Great Grandparents or relatives of the same family from Kent. The family corresponded back and forth England to Australia up till the late 1930's. George Wright born 18th August 1830 Greenwich/Deptford Kent England his parents are shown as John and Elizabeth. Both of George's parents were deceased in 1857 as shown on the list of immigrants on the ALOE's ships documents. Margaret Elizabeth King born 4th March 1836 Sydenham Kent England her parents are shown as William and Margaret King nee Bear. They were married at St Giles Church Camberwell England 14th March 1853, they had two daughters born in England, Elizabeth 8th January 1854 and Jane 17th October 1856. They emmigrated to Australia from Liverpool 14th April 1857 on the sailing vessel 'ALOE' and arrived at Botany Bay Australia on the 31st July 1857. George had a brother John already living in Australia at Moreton Bay, while Margaret had an uncle John Bear living in Melbourne. |
