Hi, I am looking for info on an Edith Jane Young, married to a Sydney Ernest Pettit and lived in Pancras London.

Born somewhere between 1970 and 1900, had a daughter Lilian Mary 26 Dec 1915(who married an Arthur Ellis in 1938).

I would be grateful for any information.

What have you found so far - census records, marriage refs? We dont want to duplicate research you have already undertaken.

Use freebmd to find the marriage, buy the marriage cert using the reference you find from GRO online for £7. That will give you both fathers names and occupations, the couples residence at time of marriage,their ages, occupations and the witnesses names.

Here is the marriage by the looks of it. Go to freebmd yourself and practice looking for events.

Use this GRO ref for the marriage cert:

Marriages Mar 1903
Pettit Sidney Ernest Croydon 2a 401
Young Edith Jane Croydon 2a 401

if you look at the other thread you have going i have put marraige details up, if you order the cert you will have their ages and fathers names and occupations on it, then we will be able to help you more.

Thanks for all your help and appologies for duplicating, have read some of the tips but admittedly keen to get going and didn't read all.

I suspect that a little more reading may be in order.
