is there anyone who could help im looking for joseph young's parents i have looked every where and cant find them please help,
joseph young born 1800 or1801 married to a mary eyres birth place westbury wiltshire.

at that period of time you are into searching parish records, possibly the Christening records on ancestry.com, possibly the I G I on www.familysearch.org (the Mormon site)


After all, you don't really know where he was born!

At least, the only information that you give is that he married someone born in Wiltshire. That doesn't mean the he was born in Wiltshire.

sorry they were both born in westbury in wiltshire they married in 1816 and had 4 children james young b 1817 harriett young b 1826 thomas young b 1833 and my ggg grandfather b 1838 died 1906

There is something a little peculiar about the dates.


If he was born ca 1800 or 1801, as you think, and his marriage was in 1816 ...... then he was only 15 or 16 at the time of his marriage.


Perfectly legal at that time AS LONG AS he had parental consent.



..... but we MIGHT be looking for someone born between 1790 and 1801.

There are several James Young shown as christened between about 1785 and 1800 in Wiltshire on the ancestry.com christening records ...... unfortunately none of them say Westbury, and I don't know my Wiltshire geography!
