Trying to trace my grandmothers family without success, have tried all the different ways to spell above name. Her name was Kathleen Young born in London within sound of Bow Bells well thats what she always said but no trace in any census including 1911. All I know is she had a sister Alice and brother called Alf who disappeared during second world war in London area. I think he may have fought in first world war but not sure. She probably had other siblings but don't know. Believe her mother was a Fitzgerald and her father was a Young but really don't know any more.

Sorry everyone it was not very clear.

Gran had to send for a birth certificate when she retired think it had been lost. They could'nt find when or if she had been registered but cannot find siblings birth anywhere either. Gran married Charles Myers in or about 1925 and will be sending for a marriage certificate soon. She always said she was born in 1895 so don't know how managed to slip the net for 1901 census but seems to have done so.She was in service in her youth but not know where. either London or Kent area but it was always said in family that her father was dutch/canadian but not known for sure.
Thanks Laura.

Do you know where she married Charles Myers? I can't find a marriage for a Charles Myers to a Young anywhere.

Have you checked the birth registration of your father or mother (the one who was Kathleen's child) to see what maiden name is given for your grandmother?

If this is the marriage it appears she was Katherine.

When you look at the image her name is Kathleen

When did she die?

I think you will need to get her marriage cert to find out her fathers name to see if she is on the census somewhere
