M Young & Sons,watchmakers of Newcastle-upon Tyne Interested to find any info/relatives of M Young,watchmakers & jewellers who had four shops in Newcastle-upon-Tyne from 1782 to 1910.Richard Young married Mary Hutchinson around 1830.They had two sons Richard & Mark who then had 15 children between them.Richard & Mark carried on business till 1910 when company was either bought out or amalgamated with Northern Goldsmiths.I have data on Young-Dawson-Hutchinson families back to 1700's.My g-grandfather was Richard Young the second who married Amy Dawson in Newcastle in 1862.One of their 10 children,Florence Ethel Young was my grandmother.The Dawson family orginate from Alston,Cumberland area. |
