ROSE!!!

What are you telling me, you filled out the thing and you got a match????

Okay, lemme go check mine ...

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:33

Hayley is not a fat chick. Or so she says.

You have not addressed the subject, Gwynne.

The only obvious conclusion to be drawn is that you are a fat chick.

Not paying attention, are you?

Get over yourself!

Rambling Report 14 Jul 2010 21:32

ooh now that's interesting ...the ones I am matched with...the first one is 6ft 2" is good with money and loves cooking LOL

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:31

Gwynne, I am merely telling it like it is.

I have been advised by an authority -- a girl who has got herself a guy -- that it is only right and proper, or fit and meet, or whatever, that he open her doors, push her chair around, and pay for whatever morsels she wishes to consume when they are out and about.

In return, she makes and plates up his meals.

I thought he might feel a little pre-teen at that, until I remembered I do it too. But that's for pragmatic purposes; I cook precisely for two, and I count the carbs. He then cleans up whatever mess I felt like making. I suspect that Ms. Plating Up's guy doesn't do that.

I think we should accept her word as authority on this, though. Equality demands that he pay and she serve.

Remember this.

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 14 Jul 2010 21:31

Now I'm even more confused. Is it not cooking then?

Why would Hayley get a first date and not me. *stamps*

*worries crossed brown eyes*

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:26

We must all applaud Hayley for her marvellous demonstration of What Men Do Not Want in their wimmin. Hip hip!

Drama, in case she's confused you.

Fat, too. But there are enough fat chicks around here already. We needed some drama to remind us that merely being not-fat will not get us the dates we want.

The difference being: Hayley will get a first date. She'll probably blow it, but she's still a step ahead.

All you fat chicks, eat your heart out.

OOOOOOO

Oh Gwynne, I hope you are good in the plating up meatloaf department, ....are you asking if Gwynneth if she is agood cook? Or she always serves Mr G the biggest portion or is code *winks*

Yours Heavy Boned ( according to my Mother) of Chshire ..

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 14 Jul 2010 21:25

I don't cook, Janey, or plate meatloaf, whatever that is.

'imself is well used to my demanding ways, he was warned by both my parents before we trotted down the aisle.

He promised not to get bald or fat and so far so good. Is it discriminating to exclude a physical type you find a turn off?

I wouldn't want to be matched with a fascist either, is that discriminating?

*worried brown eyes*

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:23

True actually, isn't that? I tend to see nuances in the questions and think: well, if he said X, even though I said Y, it might make sense.

But actually, I realized years ago when I started with the online matchmaking lark that (and I'm talking over 15 years ago!) that I had to just be straight with myself. I'd look at a profile and think: He'd be perfect except for ___. And the ___ actually made him not just not perfect, but yucky.

(The big one is the ones in their 50s looking for women in their 40s and/or 30s. Gimme a great big yeeeeccch. Eharmony actually had preset search criteria when it started that automatically matched men with younger women and women with older men.)

So you're working on getting over yourself, I see. This is good.

I dont think its very PC to call me a fat chick Janey

Yours truamatised of Cheshire...

Rambling Report 14 Jul 2010 21:19

It's really quite enlightening in a way.... lol all the options, grading from 1...to 7 or whatever, how important aspects of personality, behaviour etc are to you...I can see that my expectations of myself are much higher than my expectations of this fictitious partner...

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:16

Oh Gwynne, I hope you are good in the plating up meatloaf department. Otherwise, you are doomed to a life filled with the joy of cats.

No, you may not exclude fat bald men. What did fat bald men ever do to you? You are discriminating, and obviously believe that fat bald men do not have rights.

You'll be needing to get over yourself if your current mate ever tires of your demanding ways.

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:13

Oh, I forgot the footnote.

** Why don't these lists say "fat chicks"?

Because (and I must give credit to another poster for this), like happy hours in pubs, these sites are designed to attract women like moths to flames. If there are women, men will come.

Unless they're fat chicks.

But telling women that is not going to get women to open their purses.

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 14 Jul 2010 21:13

*nods back*

I like to keep the current Mr G on his toes. But I'm not sure I could face housetraining another one, it takes years of careful application.

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:11

Well, hmm, sigh, I have consulted
The Top 5 Male Turnoffs
and
5 Types of Women that Men Avoid
and yet it is not there.

Of course, "Fat Chicks" isn't there either. **

But we all know what your problem is, Hayley O Hayley.

Men

Hate

Drama.

Get over yourself.

Silly Sausage Report 14 Jul 2010 21:09

Me I am a fat chick? A bulldozer couldnt get over me Janey.....I will stick with Itsmytelly like Guinevere I was weighing up me opinions...ORRRRRRRR wondering if I still have it....OMG of course I still have it * nods to Guinevere **

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:06

Oh Hayley my Hayley, how opportune that you should ask!!!

I have the answer here somewhere, just let me go find it.

Patience is a virtue, and a virtuous girl is a whole lot better than a bunch of rubies.

Unless she's a fat chick and needs to get over herself.

Guinevere

Guinevere Report 14 Jul 2010 21:06

I am perfectly content with the current Mr Guinevere, Janey, I'm just a natural cynic, I suppose.

My list of requirements and *not* requirements both physical and in personality or character would be very long.

I suspect if 'imself and I entered such specific details we would end up with each other.

Edit - is it possible to exclude bald, fat men, for example?

Gwynne

JaneyCanuck

JaneyCanuck Report 14 Jul 2010 21:05

Oh, Rose, I fear for you, I do.

You have forgotten your gender?

There are two choices, now ...

We suspect that you were trying some ploy to disguise your fat chick status, and it has backfired. That is what we suspect.

Silly Sausage

Silly Sausage Report 14 Jul 2010 21:03
