I am unable to find my gt grandmother's birth on any trees,
all I have is her daughter Sarah's certificate.
My gt grandmother was called MARIA FICK born 1865 in St.Georges,Shropshire. she married a HENRY RAMSBOTTOM from Blackburn. I want to know who MARIA'S parents were ?
Anyone know where else I can search for her please ?

That's why I was asking about the marriage Rose. That's the marriage I found and wondered if the surname had been mis-read.

If you get the marriage cert it will tell you her fathers name and occupation which will make it easier to find them on the census

Yes.........no people called Fick at all anywhere I can find.

I think it's Leek too.

The 1881 census has two Mary A. Leakes who are away from home and servants.

To Rose ,
How can she be mother in law ? i do have the files of both 1901 and 1891.
My partner and I believe it is a misprint by the registry .

In my wildest dream I was not expecting any answers from you lovely people :-)
