Possible ancestors of mine were transported to Australia in the early 19th C; I have no trouble with the Austalian end (that's where I found them) but to confirm the identities I would like to check the papers here in England. The Australian records quoted the term of transportation, then stated 'Middlesex Gaol Delivery', followed by a date. Is anyone able to tell me where I will find the Middlesex Gaol Delivery listings please?

Records are at the the National Archives.

And put Middlesex Goal into the search facility and a list of what they have available will come up.
