I just thought, I don't know if Rochdale Register Office issues BMD certificates - some of them do, some of them don't - but you may be able to ring them up and ask if they can look for an Elsie Clark born c. 1914 with a father named Frank. They will often look a year or so either side for you, too. |

I am happy with Charles Swallow being from Rochdale, but as there are 94 Elsies born between 1913 and 1915 I think I need something more substantial to go off. As there are no living relatives is there any way without waiting 20 years for the 1931 census that I can link her to a place. |

I will order a certificate for Charles as I assume they met in Rochdale but is there any way that I can be sure that this is the correct Charles Swallow once I have the certificate? |

Could this be Elsie's birth? The age on the death record could be wrong - |

I will just have look on the death index, Gilbert - the death indexes from that time should have the age of the deceased on them. |

Does Elsie's marriage certificate to Frederick say how old she was? |
