Nudges :-D

Malcolm Report 7 Nov 2012 16:49

I used my little Olympus digital recorder to collect conversations from my Mum before she sadly began to "lose the plot" a couple of years ago. 30 + treasured conversations.

I've collected and digitised as many family photos as I can find. I have several dozen downloaded certificates and hundreds of gravestone pictures from churchyards.

MY GR tree is a thousand strong and I believe very reliable. Ive made frequent Gedcoms and dated them.

I've written copious notes about my research and shorthand, all on WORD.

The whole lot is on memory sticks and the master copy is on two separate computers where it is updated regularly.

Now then. How long before USB 3, 4, 5,.... format comes in and these memory sticks are about as playable as wax cylinders? :-(
