Can anyone think of another site I could do an address search on as Find my Past can't find the address or the family on the 1901 census? A very kind person on here found the family for me on the 1901 census using another site so I do have them but I think other family members may have been living near by and so wish to do an address search.

So far as I know, FMP is the only site which enables you to search by address.

If you post the information you have on the family, perhaps someone may be able to help.

"www.1901 census online"--- the original 1901 site has address search facilities but its pay per view.

The family is Henry Clarke age 34 a widower and his son Walter age 6 and they are living with Henrys brother in law Henry George Turney and his family.

The address is simply given as At The Back, Aldbury, Hertfordshire.

One of Henrys other brothers in law David Dumpleton was living in the same place on the 1891 census.

Thank you both. Henrys sister Mary Ann was David Dumpletons first wife and she died in 1883 during child birth but the child Jesse James survived.

I'd email FMP, as Aldbury is not in their database.

It seems strange that Genes and FMP are not using the same database.

Aldbury is very small - it probably comes under Tring.
The people who run this site may be able to help you:
