Have just been on FMP to view the last column, the white strip has now been removed, (on the relative I was looking for) not much help though, as it doesn't give me the info I was hoping to find.
Hope you all have better luck,
Best Wishes,

ShelleyRose x :-(

But then how could they remove a white strip on 1 record?

Kay????

Kay???? Report 8 Jan 2012 10:02

perhaps softwear is needed to remove the blank strip which they dont have.?

BradM Report 8 Jan 2012 09:55

Well I have seen 1 image on here. Not my family though :-(

BradM

BradM Report 8 Jan 2012 08:44

No, I viewed one who isn't a relation of mine but someone posted names so people could look at it. That was not blanked.

Yes, but you have to pay to view the 1911 site!
I have 6 month membership with GR and do the Monthly with Ancestry and I can not see the last column! So frustrating.
I can view the 1911 census on both, but not the blanked out column, do I have to pay more to see this?

BradM Report 7 Jan 2012 18:59

ok thanks. I have looked at 1 record who's name was Taylor (named in another thread) not a relative of mine. Just my relatives, even surname beginning with B!

I would report that to [email protected], if I were you.

I have only downloaded one myself and that had the infirmity column visible.

In which site, BM123?

BradM

BradM Report 7 Jan 2012 18:30

Why is it when I view images they are still blanked?

Joy

Joy Report 6 Jan 2012 18:53

"Those I viewed back in 2009 at 1911 online official site have full images with no blanking."

Yes, Kay, I saw the ones that I had viewed in 2009, too, on Wednesday morning, with no blanking :-)

Kay????

Kay???? Report 6 Jan 2012 18:39

Those I viewed back in 2009 at 1911 online official site have full images with no blanking.

I have just sent this message through ancestry:

Why is the infirmity column still blocked off, please?
In accordance with the 100 year privacy rule, the column should be visible now. Thank you.

GR should be the same as find my past, I would have thought.

On 1911census.co.uk, you can now view the previously hidden information in the 'infirmity' column of the 1911 census. If your ancestors filled in this column, you'll be able to see new information about your family's health in 1911.

:-( I can view some census images but am getting an error message on others, assuming it's because the site is busy :-S

BradM

BradM Report 4 Jan 2012 19:28

Has the majority of GR been done? the a family with T has been done but a family beginning with G hasn't :-S Any Idea's?

Joy Report 4 Jan 2012 12:02

Find my past now has the column visible - we did not renew our subscription but are able to see previously viewed images.

Oh! Just been looking at the saved images on 1911census.co.uk - one of had been blind for 16 years, meaning she went blind at the age of 51. Now that is a surprise!

Checking on FMP, it loads on the 1911 census image opened page.

But when I checked one of the other saved images, the column is still blanked...and the same with the FMP link.

So some are uncovered, and some not.

No doubt they are reloading gradually.
