'Emma' Report 21 Aug 2012 11:33

These women were transported to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) with their birth and marriage families in the UK and with their descendants in Australia. This centre is looking for volunteers in the UK who may be interested in researching the lives, gaol and trial records and newspaper stories of these women.
Membership of www.femaleconvicts.org.au is free and gives access to their database. If you are interested a list of women from your county with other info will be sent to you.
This information through my FHS.
