Bombs in Manchester Area

ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

MarilynB Report 15 Dec 2012 20:54

Just found a website that gives maps with the location of bombs dropped, buildings damaged and demolished in the Manchester area. There are about 48 different maps, which when you go into, you can zoom in to see the actual roads, buildings etc., and on some it has the actual dates they were bombed. For anyone with relatives living in the Manchester area during the war it could be very interesting.

Just copy and paste the following URL then search for bombs in the search box. Only trouble is as yet I havent found a way to search for a certain area, (Hulme), so need to open every map. It gives a list of the areas covered on the left hand side when you open the map. (If anyone finds a way to do this, please let me know). Hope some people find it interesting.
