i am sorry for mistakes i do not wish to confuse but i need help i have very little to go on only my Mothers Name Lilian Potter and she had me in Bridge Kent 09.04.1941 my adopted Mother said she was very young when she met her at court

Try the social services in the area you were born. If they don't have your file they should be able to point you in the right direction.

Probably a waste of time as this has been tried before, but have PM'd David advising him to reply on one of his threads - have suggested the one with above link as there is a fair amount of info on there.

The name on your birth cert should be her full name

I would have thought that if there is only one forename on your birth certificate and on the court order then it is likely that she only has one.

Do you have your adoption file?

David, have you applied to have access to your adoption file? If not, you need to do so, as there might be more info in there which may help you.

is there any where in the uk it would be possible to find out if my birth mother had other forenames as i was adopted the only paper work i have is the court order for my adoption also my birth certificate i have one fore name but if she had 2 it would make my task of finding my birth family so much quicker
