I need help with a birth look up please
Name is elizabeth holt her father is john holt
Elizabeth holt married joseph Richardson oct 27 1844
Both full age elizabeths address is springfield lane Salford
Her father john holt is down as a book keeper
When joseph died Elizabeth married thomas cook 17 may 1876 Elizabeth age is 53
And father still a bookkeeper
I do not have her mother name
In the 1861 census
Joseph Richardson 39
Elizabeth Richardson 35
So the age is out ftom census and marriage to thomas cook
In the 1891 census
Elizabeth age is 68
I cannot find the birth to a john holt who is a bookkeeper or the 1841 census before Elizabeth was married
Any help would be very helpful

If Elizabeth was full age on her marriage in 1844 (and told the truth!!), she had to be at least 21, thus was born 1823/4 or earlier.

That would fit with her age in 1891.

35 in 1861 = ~1826

53 in 1876 = 1823

Not unusual to have different ages / birth years .............. depends partly on when a census or marriage took place vs a person's birth date, but also many of our ancestors didn't really know how old they were!!!

I'm going to post records of Elizabeth Holts baptised in Lancashire with father John whether or not the are yours .......... just to rule them out.

I'm sure you have checked them out, but just to stop other helpers sepnding time chasing them up. :-)

Have check john marriage to elizabeth marple and Elizabeth had no children out of marriage so i have ruled that family out
I have search all day for both farther john and daughter elizabeth holt
So i am thinking in 1844 when Elizabeth holt married Joseph Richardson and and elizabeths farther john holt was a bookkeeper but when Elizabeth was born john may not of been a bookkeeper
The only other lead i have is Elizabeth holt residence at time of marriages on the wedding certificate is springfield lane
