ProfilePosted byOptionsPost Date

Paul Report 20 Aug 2017 20:55

I have decided to start writing a family history blog to record my own family tree, to promote interest in our hobby, and to hopefully find people with similar interests to my own. I have shared the links below. Any comments and feed back are most welcome, both positive and negative. Please feel free to comment on the blog pages as well.

I have also started writing a blog for Family History Magazine, see link below

My twitter and blog links as follows:

Names I am researching are:

Chiddicks in Essex
Daniels in Dublin
Keyes in Prittlewell
Wootton in Herefordshire and London
Jack in Scotland

Had a quick scan earlier - One thing that might be improved on is where you've referred in the text to an image you've added below. It would appear that they were appearing before the text, not after it.

Thanks for the feedback I do appreciate the comments. This is my first attempt at hosting any kind of website/blog site, so its really open to improvements and hopefully it will be a work in progress and something that I can improve on as my own skills improve.

Thanks Susan,

I have tried another blog detective, see if thats any better??

New blog added with a slightly different layout, incorporating pictures within the Text and story, which I think looks better.

Excellent :-)

I use Google all the time and have found lots of good info on my own family and relevant places through it, on small sites like http://www.bhsproject.co.uk/ ( Brentford High St project) and in excerpts from old books etc.

That's very good and informative.

Like Nyx, I love Google and have found all sorts of things on it. It always surprises me when someone on here asks a question, the answer appears within minutes, with the information from Google. Couldn't the questioner have found it? :-S

Thanks everyone for the comments, its much appreciated.

Can we live without google today????

I can remember researching for school projects in the Library, that seems a lifetime ago, now the whole world is literally at the end of the "enter" button.

I think I will have that on my headstone "just google it"

I have added an Italian blog today also.......
