If you order a subscription for Ancestry through the cashback site Quidco there is 25% cashback. If you are not already a member of Quidco I think it costs £5 to join (taken out of your first cashback) and you do have to wait a while for the cashback to come through, but we have well over £1000 back in the last 5 years or so.

Just a point about what Kath says -

that applies if it's the UK version of Ancestry you join, but not for Canadian, US, Australian, NZ, etc.

Last time I renewed, I found it cheaper to join the Canadian Ancestry than the UK one, even taking Quidco cashback into account.

You need to investigate them all, and do the sums!
