Hi I have come to a dead end with a a gt uncle his name was Herbert William Church born 1901 south Walsham Norfolk, I know he emigrated to Canada and later moved on to California, he died 4th Oct 1966 Redwood City, San Mateo, California im trying to see if he married however as it would be in either Canada or the US I’m struggling, any advice appreciated

If they had children in Canada I think there is a 100 year closure ?so details will not be public.

this is only a guess of Dorothy going to Canada....she didnt marry a Durland in England,

The image actually shows that Dora Purvis was travelling with the following .....

Not sure whether M = initial of forename or abbreviation for Mr, porbably/possibly the latter as most men are shown as that!

I'm beginning to think that Dorothy may have lied about her age when she married Herbert William ....... not unusual when one spouse was older than the other!

No information as to whether anyone else was living there

Wow thanks for all this info, I’m pretty sure her and Herbert wouldn’t of had children together, seems she was in her 40s when she met him, Dorothy died the same place as Herbert so I presume they stayed together, thanks again everyone ??
