"We are unable to display search results due to technical difficulties.
Please try searching again in a few minutes."

Or next year. Oh look, it's next year.

I get it in both Firefox and Chrome. Constantly. Randomly. It's not me, it's them.

Anybody else?

If somebody else has already whinged about this, forgive me. :-)

what I got yesterday (Sunday) was that they would be doing "work" starting at 11:00pm January 7, and some records might be unobtainable. (paraphrased!!)

I can’t remember ever having problems on Familysearch. I generally use Firefox. There was a notice up yesterday saying they would be working on the site this morning but that should only be temperary.

Well, the totally form-letter reply from them is that it's all me.

Clear your cookies, blah blah.

The thing is that I only started using Chrome for it a couple of days ago, to see whether Firefox was the problem (I keep a lot of javascript turned off in Firefox and I didn't feel like experimenting).

So after a couple of days, it does it in Chrome too.

I'm not buying it. :-)

Huh! Spoke too soon didn’t I :-|. I got the “technical difficulties, try again” message this afternoon. I kept trying again and eventually gave up and logged out.

Aha! So it isn't just me, it's just me and thee. :-D

I will get around to replying to their supremely unhelpful form letter on the weekend.

It's like talking to Ancestry ...
