In 1891 there was a pub called the Beehive, address 12 Faith Street Maidstone.

The Beehive no longer exists and the nearest address for modern day Maidstone is 12 St Faith's Street.

Does anyone know if the Faith St of 1891 is the same street as St Faith's Street?

Also does anyone know when the Beehive disapeared?

Thank you

Gerry

A Google search only brings up St Faith Street - nothing for Faith Street - so I'm assuming it's the same street.

The 1911 census still shows Faith Street as opposed to St Faith.

This is the entry for No 12 - no mention of the Beehive.
Maybe the Mannings lived above the Beehive, and it wasn't listed as nobody actually lived on the commercial premises? Or maybe the Beehive no longer existed by then.

Searching the 1939 register for "Faith Street" brings up several households, though I don't have credits to see the full details of the addresses.

However, searching for "St Faith Street" or "Saint Faith Street", doesn't bring up any results.
Nor "St Faith's Street" or "Saint Faith's Street".

Even numbers only seem to go up to 8 on the 1939 register
