if I order a will can anyone tell me what it would tell me please thank you

That all depends on what the person said in the will. You will get the names of the executors and the names of anyone who was a beneficiary of the will. If there was property left you should get the address of the property.

Basically you get a photocopy of the actual will as it was written.

Make sure there is a will. If the probate mentions administration then there probably isn't a will and there will not be much more than is in the probate index.

Also if the will is before mid 19th century it can be difficult to read at first and may contain unfamiliar words.

Just to correct something that you said, Kath, about receiving a photo copy of the will as it was written. I didn't get that, I got a typewritten copy of the will. I was so disappointed, I wanted to see my gt. grandfather's signature (the guy on my avatar).

Thank you mentions administration so wont bother as cost is ten pounds
