There are 6 articles in newspapers on Findmypast mentioning the Paviours Arms but they are from 1939 to 1949, so too late for your great grandfather's time.

Would anyone be able to look in newspaper archives to see if there were any interesting events between 1921 and 1934 when my great grandfather was there?

Thankyou

You may need to re-think

See:

https://pubshistory.com/LondonPubs/WestminsterStJohn/PaviorsArms.shtml

William Crane was there in 1921

Your relation would have been over 65 by the time the pub opened............

According to Wikipedia the pub was designed in 1937 so he must have worked there after this date. It was Art Deco in style:-

William was born in 1874...so it would have been at the turn of the twentieth century that he was working there I should think. Sorry I just have put his birth date.

I believe my relative William Crane was a public an at this establishment.

The pub was knocked down in 2003.

Just wondering if anyone has access to newspapers...are there any articles relating to this place?

Thank you in anticipation
