Hi, could someone help in finding out who the above David Davies's parents were, please? I have his wife as Fanny(Fanni) E Williams married 1870 and having 10 children all born in Denbighshire, I have the names of the children but not all the information on them as they grew and left home except for John second son who was a servant in 1891 at Kimnel Park St George, Abergele. This I know as he married my great grand aunt Lydia Peacock daughter of the above David Davies in1901 in Betws yn Rhos, Denbighshire.
John and Lydia had 2 children Lydia and Winnie don't what happened to Winnie Davies. She seemed to have a disability of some kind when looking at old photos of her.
Any help with this will be so good thank you ;-)

This looks like the marriage:-

First name(s) David
Last name Davies
Marriage quarter 3
Marriage year 1870
Registration month -

MarriageFinder ™
David Davies married one of these people

>>>>Fanny Williams<<<<, Ann Evans

District St. Asaph
District number -
County Denbighshire
Country Wales
Volume 11B
Volume as transcribed 11B
Page number 505
Record set England & Wales Marriages 1837-2005

The certificate should give his father's name and occupation (if he knew his father).

There are four births for the name David Davies in 1844/1845 in St. Asaph Registration District (which covers St. George).

Not very helpfully the mother's maiden names for these four births are all very common surnames:-

Roberts
Williams
Jones
Hughes

If I was going to pick out one of them I would go with the birth where the mother's maiden name was Williams, as it could be that David married a cousin - however that is just a thought and can't be relied on.

Thank you for your help Kath Welsh surnames are so hard to get right. x

If this is David and Fanny in the 1871 census (possibly is as they are next door to a Williams family - possibly Fanny's parents), then David was maybe born 1842 or 1843, so a bit earlier than you thought.

I've ordered birth cert for David & Fanny and death cert for Winnie so will see if that works out. The David & Maria sound promising so hopefully when the certificates come I might have more to go on. Such a shame mother's name doesn't appear on marriage certs only father.
