Thank you everybody for showing an interest, my apologies if I have put too many posts on, I just joined and was confused by the different noticeboards :-)

No problem. In fairness, Aisha has been very specific in her request on each thread. :-)

ArgyllGran, Aisha has several threads relating to her Polish grandfather.
This is probably the most relevant one if you’d like to help.

List of websites here:

https://www.cyndislist.com/poland/general/

Try searching for your grandfather (and his father once you have his name from the marriage cert) on Family Search (free), and Ancestry or FindMyPast - both subscription sites, but any of the helpers here will be only too glad to have a look for you if you don't have a sub yourself.

If you like to give us what information you have, we'll see what we can find.

Hello, I am new to tracing family members but am trying to trace my grandfather who came to England from Poland around the time of WW2. I have very limited information, only his name and approximate year of birth and he lived in Bradford. We would like to find out about his/our family in Poland and what they may have experienced with the war. Is there anyone who has been involved in a similar search who may be able to advise me on how to go about doing this?
